Other Info: For Active Service. Taken prisoner on 30th June 1916. According to CWGC, Ernest died aged 19 on 30th June 1916 whilst serving in the 12th Battalion, Royal Sussex. He is remembered at Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery, Souchez, grave reference XV.P.28
