    Hello – would it be possible for you to re-do this photo so that all the picture and words are visible? This is the only photo I’ve found of this man (who is an ancestor of my husband). Thank you

      Hi Tracey. Unfortunately I’m unable to provide a better photo as I am working from pre-scanned PDF copies of the paper. I don’t have the originals, they are kept by East Sussex County Council. It might be possible for you to ask the team working at East Sussex WW1 if they could arrange for another copy to be made. The photograph is from the edition of the Hastings & St Leonards Pictorial Advertiser dated 28th September 1916 on page 5. Their contact details are here: http://www.eastsussexww1.org.uk/contact/.
