Other Info: At the Front. According to CWGC, Henry died aged 42 on 31st August 1918. He is remembered at Bagneux British Cemetery, Gezaincourt, grave reference VI.B.28

    A Message for Karen Sweatman. Henry Mervyn Blackman was my Grandfather, My Mother was Clara and consequently my Uncle was Mervyn.

      Hi Richard. My great grandfather was Henry’s brother, James. I was doing some family tree research, and somebody sent me the wonderful photograph of your mother, uncle and grandparents above. My maiden name is Blackman.

        Hi Karen
        Sorry for the delay in answering your reply, but been too busy with my new book.
        Nevertheless, love to meet you at some stage and exchange some family history, my brother has done a family tree going back some 100 or so years. Likewise my Cousin is also in the progress of doing the same, they both live down the western end of the country, but I still live in Hastings.
