Address: 49 Castle Hill Terrace, Hastings

Other Info: A notice placed in the Hastings & St Leonards Observer on 11th May 1918 reported that; ‘Private Albert George Orchard, Pioneer, Hants Regiment, killed in action on March 30th. Oldest son of the late Colour Sergeant Instructor Orchard. His step-mother lives at 49 Castle Hill Road, Hastings.’ According to CWGC, Albert is remembered on the Pozieres Memorial on Panel 48.

Albert is not named on Hastings War Memorial.
