  1. Hello,
My name is Michael D Farrier, and I am the great-nephew of the four Farrier brothers that are featured on your website. (ie, Walter, Thomas, Percy and Albert). I just thought I’d say how very accurate your information is and what a great job you are doing in keeping these all these boys’ memory going. May I just ask a question? I am currently trying to put a name to the face of a soldier who appears in a photograph with my great-uncle Thomas. It’s a very clear photo and I’d really love to name this chap. Is there a way I can view the faces of every member of the 5th Battalion Royal Sussex Reg’t from the late 1914- to early 1915, so I could compare them?
    I do hope it’s possible!

    Best regards,

    Mike Farrier

  2. Hi Mike. Thank you for your kind words. It will be difficult to find a name for the solider picture with Thomas. It is possible he could be on this website, particularly if he lived in or around Hastings – you could take a look through the Royal Sussex men here (there are 1,213 men): http://www.ww1rollofhonour.co.uk/index.php/tag/royal-sussex-regiment/. You might also check the ‘Orange Lily’ website, which has a large number of photographs showing men of the RSR: https://theorangelily.jimdo.com/. Good luck with your search. Kind Regards, Kieron
