According to CWGC, Ewart is remembered at Epehy Wood Farm Cemetery, Ephey, grave reference III.G.6.

Other Info: An article published in the Hastings & St Leonards Observer on 18th May 1918 reads; “G. H. Tichband, junior, Queen’s Royal West Surrey Regiment; reported missing since March 23rd. His parents, Mr & Mrs G Tichband, 3 Union Street, St Leonards, would be glad of any information.”

According to CWGC, George died aged 19 on 23rd March 1918. He is remembered at the Pozieres Memorial on Panel 14 and 15.

Other Info: Harold was killed in action on the 14th January 1916 near Nasiriyeh, Mesopotamia.

According to CWGC Harold is remembered at the Basra Memorial on panel 6.

Born on 22nd March 1892 at Denmark Place, London and educated at Rye Grammar School. He joined the 5th Queen’s West Surrey Territorials in November 1912 and volunteered for foreign service on the outbreak of war. Harold sailed for India on 31st October 1914, was six months in Lucknow and six months at Fyzabad Brigade Staff Office, leaving for the Persian Gulf on 1st December 1915.
