Sergeant Green, the man standing on the left, has since come home. Sergeant Bennett … is seated on the left. The man with the dog is Corporal Green and the dog was taken out by the men in March 1915. Its identification disk is hanging around its neck, and is marked “01 Spot. Sussex Army Troops, Royal Engineers. It is well known to the troops at the Front, and has many rats to his credit. It always takes up its position at the head of working parties when allowed.
