Other Info: Henry was born in Hastings in 1881. He was aboard HMS Good Hope when it was sunk with all hands at the Battle of Coronel on 1st November 1914. Additional information from the Lives of the First World War website. He is remembered at Portsmouth Naval Memorial, panel 2.

Other Info: Was one of 524 officers and men that went down with HMS Hawke when it was sunk by German submarine U9 on 15th October 1914. According to CWGC, Edward died aged 17 and is remembered at the Portsmouth Naval Memorial on panel 3.

Other Info: Lost his Life in the Battle of Jutland. Horace was aboard HMS Queen Mary when she was sunk in the action off Jutland on 31st May 1915.

According to CWGC, Horace was 19 when he died. He is remembered at the Portsmouth Naval Memorial on panel 13.

Other Info: Lost his life on HMS Hampshire which was sunk by a mine on 5th June 1916. Field Marshall Lord Kitchener and his staff on board and among 737 lost. According to CWGC, Charles was 16 when he died and he is remembered at Portsmouth Naval Memorial on Panel 14.

Other Info: Born in Hastings. Went down with the Queen Mary. According to CWGC, Bertie died aged 16 on 31st May 1916 when HMS Queen Mary was sunk during the Battle of Jutland, one of 1,266 men lost with the ship. He is remembered at Portsmouth Naval Memorial on panel 14.

Other Info: Has received the Distinguished Service Medal. According to CWGC Herbert died aged 30 on 17th June 1917 when HMS Tartar struck mine. He was among 43 killed. Herbert is remembered at Portsmouth Naval Memorial on panel 24.
