Other Info: …He was killed on 19th July 1916 aged 22 years. He joined the staff of the (Westminster) Bank at St Leonards in 1911 and was held in high esteem by his colleagues. He will also be remembered as a member of the Hastings and St Leonards Amateur Football Club and the Hastings and St Leonards Tennis Club. He enlisted in August 1915, as a Private in the 26th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers (Bankers) and obtained rapid promotion.

According to CWGC, Eric is remembered at Berks Cemetery Extension, grave reference I.F.6.
