The funeral took place with full military honours at the Borough Cemetery, the ceremony being conducted by Captain Burnett, a Canadian Chaplain. Mr Jarvis was immensely popular with the Unit, there being a large attendance of men, with the Officer commanding and others. Numerous handsome wreaths were sent, amongst others, by Captain Biggar, Officer commanding, and men of the Unit. Sisters of the Canadian Military Hospital at Frederick Road, Lieutenant and Mrs Donaldson, Mr & Mrs Burnett (West Hill, St Leonards), Mr & Mrs Gray, Mrs Long and Mrs Neal (Tonbridge), Miss Mayne, etc. The Widow sent a duplicate of her wedding bouquet. Mrs Jarvis up to the time of her marriage had been doing nursing at Epsom as war work.

He is buried at Hastings Cemetery. Born in Barnwood, Ohio, USA.
