Other Info: On Active Service. According to CWGC, Claude died on 31st July 1918. He is remembered at Jerusalem War Cemetery, grave reference H.90.

Other Info: Corporal Arthur E Richford, killed in action on 4th June 1916 whilst fixing wire entanglements between the lines. He was buried in a churchyard near by the following day, the following day by the Chaplain. All the officers of the Company and a number of the men attended, including his brother Fred and his nephew. To do what he considered his duty he gave up his business of builder and decorator at 30 St Georges Road, Hastings, and enlisted about 18 months ago. His wife is left with four little boys, the youngest being only a few months old. Since arriving at the Front in February he had been in the fighting line the whole time, and he was shortly to have taken up the rank of Sergeant.

According to CWGC, Arthur is remembered at Cambrin Churchyard Extension. grave reference M.5.
