Other Info: An article published in the Hastings & St Leonards Observer on 28th September 1918 reads; “Killed in action on August 8th, 1918. Sent by Miss Bowles, of St Leonards, to whom he was to have been married on his next leave”

According to CWGC, George died aged 33, and is remembered at Hangard Wood British Cemetery, grave reference I.B.3. George’s Canadian Army service records can be viewed for free by searching here.
