    Eric Harold Rice was 18 years old when he died of meningitis. He was 13/77712, a cadet in no. 2 Cadet Wing [source: Airmen Died In The Great War, 1914-1919].

    He is probably the man in Leyton, Essex in the 1911 census, son of Richard Herbert Rice, architect’s assistant, and born Leytonstone.
