Other Info: Wounded on July 7th 1916? and returned to the Front two months later. According to CWGC, James died with the rank of Company Sergeant Major on 18th September 1918. He had won the Distinguished Conduct Medal. James is remembered at Epehy Wood Farm Cemetery, grave reference 1.E.16.
