Other Info: Was called up for active service, but on account of ill health was unable to take up his duties, which sorely grieved him. His is an old campaigner, having served in the Sudan War and for three years and six months in the South African War. In the latter he was at the relief of Ladysmith, Colenso, Spion Kop and at engagement in the Orange River Colony.
