Other Info: According to CWGC, George died aged 23 on 16th December 1916. According to the ship log of HMS Virginian (linked above), George died whilst the ship was in dry dock in Liverpool. He is remembered at Liverpool (Anfield) Cemetery, on screen wall (South) V.C.61.

Other Info: HMS Defence sank during the Battle of Jutland on 31st May 1916 with the loss of 903 lives. Charles was one of those lost. He died aged 33 and is remembered at Portsmouth Naval Memorial on panel 24.
