Other info: Born in Ninfield. Was dangerously wounded on 31st July 1917 and, according to CWGC died aged 26 on the same day. George was a winner of the Military Medal and is remembered at Godewaersvelde British Cemetery, grave reference I.A.32.

Before joining the service he was a member of the East Sussex Police Force, previous to which he was a gardener at Ashburnham Place.
