Other Info:  Killed in action on 9th May 1915. he was a member of the East Sussex Constabulary, and for nearly three years was stationed at Battle. Afterwards he was transferred to Ashburnham, where he was when war broke out. According to CWGC, Ernest is remembered at Le Touret Memorial on Panel 20 and 21.
