Other Info: Was killed in the street tragedy at St Leonards at the 28th December 1916, in regard to which another soldier, Private Edward Ripley, is under arrest on a charge of murder.

According to CWGC, Luther is remembered at Hastings Cemetery, grave reference L.D.P23.

He is remembered at Stump Road Cemetery, Grandcourt, grave reference A.83. He was educated at Tower Road Schools under Mr W Ray. He was a member of the Silverhill section of the Hastings Fire Brigade, and left the Brigade to join the Colours on March 2nd 1916. He leaves one sister and two brothers.
