Other Info: William’s surname is spelt wrong in the image. Name information from the Lives of the First World War website. HMS Sarnia was sunk by German submarine U-65 in the Mediterranean but William was not one of those lost during the incident.

Other Info: According to CWGC, Frederick died aged 24 on 12th Spetember 1918 when HMS Sarnia was sunk by German submarine U-65 in the Mediterranean. He is remembered at Portsmouth Naval Memorial on panel 31.
