Other Info: William Weller died aged 43 on 7th March 1920. He is buried at Hastings Cemetery. The inscription on his grave says “At rest with Christ, which is far better. Gone but not forgotten”.

Other Info: Lost his Life in the Battle of Jutland. Horace was aboard HMS Queen Mary when she was sunk in the action off Jutland on 31st May 1915.

According to CWGC, Horace was 19 when he died. He is remembered at the Portsmouth Naval Memorial on panel 13.

Other Info: Lost his life on HMS Aboukir when it was sunk, along with sister ships HMS Hogue and HMS Cressy, by German submarine U-9 on 22nd September 1914. He was one of 1,459 seamen lost in the incident. William is remembered on the Chatham Naval Memorial, on panel 4.
