Other Info: An article published in the Hastings & St Leonards Observer on 17th August 1918 reads; “Died on July 29th 1918, of wounds received the previous day in France. London Regiment. He served eight months in Egypt and was at Jerusalem.”

According to CWGC, William is remembered at Arneke British Cemetery, grave reference III.B.19.
