Other Info: According to CWGC, Thomas died aged 30 on 18th November 1916. He is remembered at Stump Road Cemetery, Grandcourt, grave reference A.83. He was educated at Tower Road Schools under Mr W Ray. He was a member of the Silverhill section of the Hastings Fire Brigade, and left the Brigade to join the Colours on March 2nd 1916. He leaves one sister and two brothers.

Other Info: According to CWGC, Arthur died aged 23 on 23rd March 1917. He was aboard the destroyer HMS Laforey when it struck a British laid mine. Only 18 on 76 crew survived. Arthur is remembered at  Chatham Naval Memorial on panel 25.

Other Info: With the British Expeditionary Force. Winner of the Military Medal, the first decoration given to a man of this squadron… he was a learner at Hastings Post Office having obtained first place in a competitive examination for that post. Later he was appointed sorting clark and telegraphist at Dover, where he was employed until he enlisted in September 1915, in the wireless section of the Royal Flying Corps. He was for sometime with the Blackland’s Boys Brigade. His age is 19 years.
