Other Info: Active Service. According to CWGC, William died aged 31 at the rank of Sergeant on 18th September 1918. He is remembered at Ste Emilie Valley Cemetery, Villers Faucon, grave reference I.B.17.

William’s photograph was also published in the Hastings & St Leonards Observer on 2nd November 1918 reporting that he had been killed in action.
