Other Info: Thomas Lamb’s RNR record is available from National Archives, BT 377/7/25823. He joined RNR in 1910 and was invalided while on board HMS Celtic in September 1915. No details are listed in the Ship’s Log [National Archives ADM 53/37404] other than that he was hospitalised twice. RNR record states that he had hemiplegia and was awarded disability pension for life on 23 February 1916. In May that year he was allocated a Naval Armlet as a visual justification for his presence in England and to avoid any accusations of cowardice by the British public. – Information courtesy of Helen Bryant via the comments.
