Other Info: Reported to the Hastings & St Leonards Observer in January 1916 that he died at the Dardanelles on 21st November 1915. According to CWGC, John is remembered at Lone Pine Memorial, on panel 67. His war records report that he died of wounds received during battle and died at sea aboard HMS Delta. His records can be viewed for free here.
