Roy Harold Ferris

Roy Harold Ferris

Rank: Corporal

Regiment: Canadian Expeditionary Force

Wife: Mrs Florence Ferris (nee Hayward)

Address: Westfield

Other Info: The marriage took place at Westfield Church on 18th April 1917 with the Rev J Morgan officiating. The bride, who wore a pretty white silk dress, with orange blossom, looked charming, and was attended by two bridesmaids, one her sister Daisy Beatrice, and the other Miss Winnie Edwards. Both of these young ladies wore white silk dresses and silk hats. Mr Hayward gave his daughter away, and the bridegroom was attended by Sergeant Coombes, CC as best man. Several members of the bridegroom’s Company were present, and gave the happy couple a rousing send off as they left the church.
