In the November 1914 edition of the Hailsham Parish Magazine it was noted that Jack Robins, 11th Hussars, was serving with the Colours. Is this the same man? Is his service number 1390?
Hi John, Thanks for commenting. I’ve looked at the ‘Lives of the First World War’ website and it seems that record 1390 is John F Robins, rather than Jack. Perhaps he was known as Jack locally? I’ve updated this record to show his name as John. Kind Regards, Kieron
