  • Harry’s wife at the time of his death was my cousin, Charlotte Swaine, not Lepper. She married Thomas Lepper some time after Harry’s death.

  • Thank you for this information Tess, I've amended the record accordingly. Kind Regards, Kieron.

  • Harry Gasson was married to Charlotte who was my grandmother! :) She had a son with Harry also called Harry who died very young from Spanish flu. She then remarried my grandfather and had my mother Charlotte. I remember my mother showing me his name on the war memorial in a church in Ore Hastings.

  • Howdy, cousin! :-) Would I be right in thinking Thomas Lepper was your grandfather? I only have one child on my tree for Thomas and Charlotte, and that's Jack, but I have no info at all about him.

  • Yes Tess, he was my grandfather. My mother was pregnant with me when my grandmother Charlotte Lepper died. It is so great to get in touch with you! So you were my grandmother's cousin? Please email me susiejcraig@aol.com and we can talk some more. My mother Charlotte died 4 years ago... My uncles were Tom and Jack. Tom lived in Hastings all his life on the West Hill.

  • Hi again Tess! Jack moved to Plymouth, he had a wife Sylvia and two daughters and a son. Jack Tom and my aunties have passed away. Jack's s children Cristina and Jean are still alive but Jack's son Michael was killed in a motorcycle crash aged 18 many years ago. Used to spend summer holidays as a child with uncle Jack. As a young man he fought I Malaya, was a marine on the Ark Royal.
