Other Info:<\/em> HMS Defence sank during the Battle of Jutland on 31st May 1916 with the loss of 903 lives. Charles was one of those lost. He died aged 33 and is remembered at Portsmouth Naval Memorial<\/a> on panel 24.<\/p>\n
