Other Info:<\/em> Text reads “Motor Driver James Cleverdon, standing by his car in France. He is an old solider. Thirty three years ago he was fighting for his country, both on land and sea. He was present in the flagship at the Bombardment of Alexandria<\/a> on July 11th 1882; he land in the desert with the Naval Machine Gun Battery, and was present at the Battle of Tell-El-Kabir on 13th September 1882. He is now serving with the ASC. When he rejoined he was acting as caretaker at the Observer office, Hastings. Additional name information from the Lives of the First World War website.<\/p>\n
