He\u00a0is remembered at Herne Bay Cemetery, grave reference T.38. <a href=\"http:\/\/sussexhistoryforum.co.uk\/index.php?action=printpage;topic=5854.0\">This webpage <\/a>provides the following information about his death: &#8220;Private Puttick\u00a0was severely wounded by shrapnel and injured in the spine on the 7th December at Messines, in cutting barbed wire. He had since been in hospital at Herne Bay, where he had received every kindness, and had borne his illness with great fortitude.
