The service was taken by the Rev. Alfred S Menzies, Vicar of the Church of the Holy Cross, Burley-on-the-Hill, Rutland, the bride’s uncle and godfather, assisted by her granfather, the Rev. A Cyril Pearson. Captain Shaw, though still lame, is happily recovering from the wound received in action at the Front.
