According to CWGC, Lionel died aged 26 on 21st March 1918. He is remembered at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cwgc.org\/find-a-cemetery\/cemetery\/87600\/pozieres-memorial\/\">Pozieres Memorial<\/a>, Panel 94.<\/p>\n<p>Lionel Britt was killed in action on his 26th birthday (21 Mar 1918). He first saw battle on 15 Sep 1916 near Flers en Picardie when his tank Dinkum was knocked out during the British attack known as the Battle of Flers Courcelette; this was the first time tanks were used in conflict..
